Product Description

Quick Response LoRaWAN Water Quality Ammonia Nitrogen Sensor

Product Features:
This LoRa online NHN sensor is an industrial grade ammonia nitrogen online monitoring device designed specifically for remote water quality monitoring. It adopts high-performance ion selective electrode combined with temperature automatic compensation technology, which can measure the concentration of ammonia nitrogen in water in real time and accurately. The sensor has an IP68 ultra-high protection level, combined with a self-cleaning and anti attachment structure, and can operate stably for a long time in complex and harsh environments such as fish ponds, rivers, and sewage treatment plants. Built in LoRa wireless transmission module, supports standard LoRaWAN protocol, enables low-power long-distance data communication within a range of several kilometers, without the need to lay cables, and can be easily deployed in outdoor areas without network coverage with a solar power supply system. It is an ideal choice for building smart water management, smart aquaculture, and ecological monitoring systems.

1. Operation Method

  • Quick Deployment: Pre-configured before delivery. Just install the sensor (submersible or pipeline type), connect the waterproof cable and LoRa gateway for automatic networking, no complicated wiring required.
  • Flexible Configuration: Supports local serial port tools and remote downlink commands. Sampling frequency, alarm thresholds and working modes can be adjusted anytime to meet different monitoring demands.
  • Data Reading: Monitoring data is uploaded automatically to cloud or local server via LoRa. Real-time data, historical curves and alarms can be viewed on mobile or computer, realizing unattended monitoring.
  • Low-Power Operation: With intelligent power management and solar-battery power supply, the sensor can run continuously all year round without external power, especially suitable for remote areas.

2. Working Principle

  • Measurement Principle: Adopts Ion Selective Electrode (ISE) method. The sensitive membrane responds selectively to ammonium ions and generates a potential signal proportional to ammonia nitrogen concentration. The value is calculated after high-precision signal processing.
  • Automatic Compensation: Built-in temperature sensor enables real-time temperature compensation based on Nernst equation, eliminating temperature influence and ensuring data reliability.
  • Anti-Interference Design: Equipped with anti-fouling coating and self-cleaning structure to reduce microbial and sediment interference. Electromagnetic shielding ensures stable signal output.

3. Precautions

  • Installation: Install in well-flowing water to avoid stagnant water and bubbles. Secure cables to prevent damage from water impact.
  • Calibration: Calibrate zero point and high point with standard solution every 1–3 months. Shorten calibration cycle if water quality fluctuates sharply or electrode works abnormally.
  • Maintenance: Clean the electrode gently with soft brush regularly. Keep it dry after cleaning when not in use for a long time.
  • Environment: Do not use in strong acid/alkali, high-concentration organic solvents or environments over 50℃. Dilute high-salinity samples to reduce ion interference if necessary.
